Since our start in 1963, Beairsto & Associates Engineering Ltd. (BASE) has been 100% Alberta-owned and operated. Our continuity of ownership and management is the foundation of our success in the industry. Beginning with an initial staff of three people, we have grown to over 100 personnel today. This growth has included expanding our services from Legal Survey and Municipal/Civil Engineering to include Building Design Engineering, Energy & Resources Engineering & Survey, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Services, and Planning. We now boast a broad foundation of expertise in a variety of interrelated disciplines. With our experienced teams of engineers, technologists, draftspersons, surveyors, and support staff we have the advantage of overseeing almost every aspect of our projects in-house, avoiding the complications of subcontracted services.
Even with our growth, we have chosen to keep our company relatively small and intimate, remaining committed to the personal and hands-on approach founded at the company’s start. The ease of communication afforded a smaller company combined with our project management systems allow us to simplify and streamline everything we do, passing on efficiencies and providing one-on-one attention to all our clients. Our Project Managers are seasoned leaders who understand the work and are empowered to step in to assist at any time, at any project level. This agility allows for quick, competent decisions and removes the chain of command lag, putting the person with the knowledge and authority in front of the client. Throughout our history, we have worked very closely with our clients and have refined our workflows and processes to respond to the changing needs of our clients and our industry.
