Members of the BASE team joined the Carseland community last weekend to celebrate the grand opening of the new Carseland Fire Station! BASE had the privilege of working with Wheatland County to complete the engineering design consultant work and contract administration for this project.
Our team was tasked with designing a fire station that was an effective use of space to meet the needs of the client while remaining economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable. This fire hall boasts an 8,000 sq ft station with 3 drive-through bays, an office space, a gear locker room, workrooms, meeting / training spaces, and a crew lounge. Outside of the building, the large site includes a dedicated training area, a fenced gravel yard, and the landscaped area that highlights the bell tower with the historic donated bell.
